Philosophy
As a holistic practitioner, I believe in treating people, not diseases. In other words, because the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—is affected when you are ill, the whole person must be treated, rather than just a symptom or a disease process.
For example, I may have two different patients who both suffer from migraine headaches, and yet I will use entirely different treatment plans for each, because I am treating the person who has a symptom called migraine, not just the physical symptom itself. When that person is rebalanced energetically, then the symptoms of that imbalance will go away, too.
Thus, it is important to get to know you, to understand the dynamics underlying your physical imbalances and to work with you towards creating and maintaining better health.
In order to achieve these results, I rely primarily on Classical Five-Element Acupuncture, because I believe it is one of humankind’s most powerful systems to promote healing. Adjunctively, I will often prescribe herbs and/or homeopathic remedies, make suggestions for improving nutrition, and offer insight with regard to lifestyle choices.
Because each case is unique, because you are unique, individual protocols vary according to your needs.
